Forest biomass raw material analysis method starch determination
1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, principles, reagents, solution preparation, equipment, and operation steps for starch determination in forestry biomass raw materials.
Steps, result processing and presentation, repeatability.
This standard applies to forest products (such as wood, bamboo, rattan, etc.), forestry residues (such as branches, sawdust, sawdust, shoots, slats, and cuts).
The determination of starch in forestry biomass raw materials such as harvesting residues and processing residues such as heads, shells, and kernels.
2 Normative references
The following documents are indispensable for the application of this document. For dated references, only dated versions apply to this article
Pieces. For undated references, the latest version (including all amendments) applies to this document.

3 Terms and Definitions
The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 30366-2013 and the following apply to this document. For ease of use, the following is repeated
Some terms and definitions in GB/T 30366-2013.
3.1
Forestry biomass forestrybiomass
Biomass produced during forestry production and processing. Mainly include forest products (such as wood, bamboo, rattan, etc.) and forestry residues (such as branches
Slag, sawdust, sawdust, shoots, slats and truncated, husks and kernels and other processing residues and processing residues, paper-making waste, and waste wood)
Energy forest and so on.
[GB/T 30366-2013, definition 2.1.3]
4 Principle
Dry-based starch in forestry biomass is hydrolyzed into small molecule sugars by the action of α-amylase, and hydrolyzed by hydrochloric acid into single-reduced ones.
Sugar, which can be converted to starch content by reducing sugar content, can be used for quantitative analysis of starch.
5 Reagents
5.1 All reagents were of analytical grade except those specified for the reagents.
5.2 Iodine (I2).
5.3 Potassium iodide (KI).
5.4 Alpha-amylase. The activity unit is 3000~5000.
5.5 Anhydrous ethanol (C2H5OH).
