Foreword
This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
Please note that some of this document may be patentable. The issuing agencies of this document do not bear the responsibility of identifying these patents.
This standard proposed by the China Electrical Equipment Industry Association.
This standard by the National Standardization Technical Committee insulator (SAC/TC80) centralized.

Introduction
The composite insulator consists of an insulating mandrel, an umbrella cover and an end fitting, which bear a mechanical load and are protected by a polymeric umbrella cover,
Accessories permanently installed on the insulating mandrel. Mechanical loads are transmitted to the mandrel through the end fitting. Despite these common features, different systems
The details of the materials used by the builder and the structure used may still vary widely.
Some tests are grouped together as a "design test," requiring only one insulator with the same design conditions. On the drape and anti-Zhang Fu
Insulator of the design test, GB/T 22079-2008 applicable to the provisions of the applicable general terms apply. Time for composite insulators and
The effects of the electrical and mechanical properties of its components (mandrel, umbrella cover, interface, etc.) have been taken into account in the prescribed design tests to ensure that the transmission line
Conventional known stress conditions, the life characteristics of composite insulators meet the requirements. Appendix A describes the damage limit, load with the test and its
Explain the principle.
This standard does not consider the power frequency arc test as one of the product standard test. Due to the different structure of transmission network and tower, as well
Arc protection device design is different, the test parameters and their values varied. The use of properly designed power frequency arc protection devices can be avoided
Short circuit current amplitude and duration of the end fittings caused serious damage. However, this standard does not exclude the agreement by the supply and demand of power frequency arc
Possibility of testing. GB/T 25084-2010 gives the details of the insulator frequency arc test.
Suspension and tensile composite insulators are generally not subject to torsional or other non-tensile loads, Appendix B gives non-standard mechanical load guidelines.
Insulator size and characteristics do not belong to the scope of this standard. To facilitate the use of this standard, Appendix C gives a typical DC engineering
Characteristics of Rod Suspension Composite Insulators.
This standard GB/T 19519 "Overhead line insulators nominal voltage higher than 1000V AC system with suspended and tensile composite insulation
Sub-definition, test methods and acceptance criteria "based on the sum of China's DC line with rod-shaped suspended composite insulator R & D, manufacturing, testing
And operating experience to prepare.

Definitions, test methods and acceptance criteria
1 Scope
This standard specifies the definition, test methods and acceptance criteria for composite insulators for overhead lines (hereinafter referred to as insulators).
This standard applies to DC lines, converter station overhangs and tension with insulator.
Note 1. These insulators may also be subjected to compression or bending loads on some occasions.
Note 2. China's power system recommends the use of high temperature vulcanized silicone rubber as the umbrella cover material.
This standard does not include the selection of insulators according to specific operating conditions.
