Foreword
This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1.Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents".
Drafting.
This document replaces GB/T 26706-2011 "Upholstered Furniture - Palm Fiber Elastic Mattresses". Compared with GB/T 26706-2011, the following changes are made.
Aside from structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.
a) The scope has been changed (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of the.2011 edition);
b) The definitions of "palm fiber elastic material," "core material," "palm fiber elastic mattress," and "composite fabric" have been revised (see 3.1-3.4,.2011).
Versions 3.1.1 to 3.1.3 and 3.1.8);
c) The terms "mountain palm fiber elastic mattress", "coconut palm fiber elastic mattress", "oil palm fiber elastic mattress", "fabric", "edge", and "seam" have been removed.
Terms and definitions (see sections 3.1.4–3.1.7, 3.1.9, and 3.1.10 of the.2011 edition);
d) The symbols (codes) have been changed (see Chapter 4, 3.2 of the.2011 edition);
e) Product categories have been changed (see Chapter 5, Chapter 4 of the.2011 edition);
f) The specifications for major dimensional tolerances, composite fabrics, and seam allowances have been changed (see Table 3,.2011 edition);
g) Additional regulations for zippers have been added (see Table 3);
h) Increased mold, pests and their contaminants, waste products, fibrous industrial waste or recycled fibrous materials processed from them,
Regulations for miscellaneous items, etc. (see Table 3);
i) Specific requirements for odors have been added (see Tables 3 and 7.4.1);
j) Requirements and test methods for formaldehyde, benzene, toluene, xylene, and total volatile organic compounds (TVOC) have been added (see Table 3 and...).

k) Added regulations for decomposable aromatic amine dyes (see Tables 3 and 7.4.3);
l) Regulations for flame retardants have been added (see Tables 3 and 7.4.4);
m) The regulations regarding flame retardant properties and the physicochemical properties of composite surfaces have been revised (see Tables 3, 7.4.5, and 7.5.2; Tables 3, 6.6, and 6.3 of the.2011 edition).
(n) Specific requirements for the physicochemical properties of the lining have been added (see Tables 3 and 7.5.4);
o) Specific requirements for mite suppression rates have been added (see Tables 3 and 7.6.2);
p) The regulations regarding the antibacterial rate of fabrics have been changed (see Tables 3 and 7.6.3, Tables 3 and 6.5.1 of the.2011 edition);
q) The durability requirements have been changed (see Tables 3 and 7.7, Tables 3 and 6.7 in the.2011 edition);
r) The product quality grading method has been changed (see 8.4.5, 7.3.3 in the.2011 version);
s) The logo and instructions for use have been changed (see 9.1, 9.2, and 8.1, 8.2 in the.2011 edition).

1.Scope
This document defines the terminology for palm fiber elastic mattresses and specifies the symbols, classifications, requirements, inspection rules, markings, instructions for use, packaging, and transportation.
The transportation and storage methods are described, along with the corresponding experimental procedures.
This document applies to the quality control of palm fiber elastic mattresses, as well as other plant fiber elastic mattresses.
This document does not apply to the production, grading, inspection, and sale of mattresses used with cribs, folding beds, or baby beds.
