High voltage insulators used in dirty conditions
Selection and sizing
Part 4. Insulators for DC systems
1 Scope
This part of GB/T 26218 specifies the principles for the selection and size determination of high-voltage insulators used in DC systems under contaminated conditions,
Material, site pollution level determination, external insulation configuration, insulator outline parameter requirements, design verification.
This section applies to.
● porcelain and glass insulators;
● Composite insulator;
● Hybrid insulators.
This section includes three aspects of the classification of pollution levels, the configuration of pollution external insulation and the requirements of umbrella parameters.The main contents are as follows.
● Fouling characteristics and site pollution;
● Insulator selection and external insulation configuration under different pollution levels (including the number of line insulators and the insulation length of station insulators)
And creepage distance);
● Requirements for insulator umbrella parameters.
This section does not cover insulator selection and size determination under special operating conditions such as ice, snow and heavy rain.
