Determination of benzyl alcohol preservatives in cosmetics Gas Chromatography

1 Scope

This standard specifies the determination of benzyl alcohol preservative in cosmetics by gas chromatography. This standard applies to the determination of benzyl alcohol cream, lotion, lotion, hair dyes and other cosmetics. The detection limit of this method is 13μg/g, Quantification limit of the method was 0.005%. Principle 2 The sample was ethanol ultrasonic extraction, centrifugation after the separation, with nitrogen as a carrier gas, using gas chromatography capillary column, flame from Ionization detector (FID detector), external standard.

3 Reagents and materials

Unless otherwise stated, all reagents were of analytical grade. 3.1 ethanol. 3.2 benzyl alcohol, chromatography, content of not less than 99.5%. 3.3 benzyl alcohol standard stock solution. Accurately weigh 0.1000g of benzyl alcohol in 100mL volumetric flask, dissolved in ethanol and dilute to the mark degree. This solution was equivalent to 1.0mg 1mL benzyl alcohol.

4 instruments and equipment

4.1 Gas chromatograph. with flame ionization detector (FID). 4.2 Analytical balance, a sense of the amount of 0.1mg. 4.3 Analytical balance, a sense of the amount of 0.01g. 4.4 flask. 10mL, 100mL. 4.5 plug scale centrifugal tube. 10mL. 4.6 ultrasonic oscillator. 4.7 centrifuge. speed of not less than 3000r/min. 4.8 Membrane. Aperture 0.45mm. Step 5 Analysis 5.1 Preparation of the standard curve 5.1.1 Standard solution series Pipette accurately benzyl alcohol standard stock solution (3.3) 1.00mL, 2.00mL, 3.00mL, 4.00mL, 5.00mL to 10mL Flask, diluted with ethanol to the mark. Preparation of a concentration of 100μg/mL, 200μg/mL, 300μg/mL, 400μg/mL, 500μg/mL solution of the standard series. 5.1.2 GC reference conditions Reference GC conditions were as follows. a) Column. 5% phenyl dimethylpolysiloxane silica capillary, 60m × 0.53mm (inner diameter) × 1.0μm, or equivalent person; b) Column temperature. 100 ℃ holding 3min, at a rate of 10 ℃/min heating to 240 ℃, then at a rate of 40 ℃/min the temperature was raised to
