This Standard is applicable to hair shampoo, cream shampoo products that are formulated with surfactant as the main active ingredient, with the function of cleaning human scalp and hair and maintaining its beauty. 2 Normative references The following referenced documents are indispensable for the application of this document. For dated references, only the edition cited applies. For undated references, the latest edition of the referenced document (including any amendments) applies. GB/T 5173, Surface active agents - Detergents - Determination of anionic- active matter content - Direct two-phase titration procedure GB 5296.3, Instruction for use of consumer products - General labelling for cosmetics GB/T 13173, Surface active agents - Detergents - Testing methods GB/T 13531.1, General methods on determination of cosmetics - Determination of pH GB/T 15818-2006, Test method for biodegradability of surfactants GB/T 22731, Fragrance compound QB/T 1684, Inspecting rules for cosmetics QB/T 1685, Requirements of packaging appearance for cosmetic products QB/T 2470, General Test Method of Cosmetics - Preparation of Standard Solution for Titrimetric Analysis (Volumetric Analysis) JJF 1070, The Rules of Metrological Inspection for Net Content of Prepackaged Commodity with Fixed Content State Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine – [2005] Order No.75 5.4 Packaging appearance In accordance with QB/T 1685. 6 Test methods 6.1 Sensory indicators 6.1.1 Appearance, color Take a sample and visually observe it at room temperature and under non-direct sunlight. 6.1.2 Aroma Take a sample and smell it to identify. 6.2 Physical-chemical indicators 6.2.1 Heat-resistance (hair shampoo) 6.2.1.1 Instruments The instruments include: a) Constant temperature incubator: temperature control accuracy is ±1°C; b) Test tube: Φ20mm×120mm. 6.2.1.2 Operating procedures Respectively pour the samples into 2 pieces of Φ20mm×120mm test tubes. Make the liquid level about 80mm. Put a clean plug. Place a test tube to be tested in a constant temperature incubator that has been pre-adjusted to 40°C. Take it out after 24h. After it is recovered to room temperature, visually compare it with the sample of another test tube. 6.2.2 Heat-resistance (cream shampoo) 6.2.2.1 Instruments Constant temperature incubator: temperature control accuracy is ±1°C. 6.2.2.2 Operating procedures d) Super thermostat: accuracy is ±1°C; e) Measuring cylinder: 100mL; f) Beaker: 1000mL. 6.2.6.2 Reagents 1500mg/kg hard-water: Weigh 3.7g of anhydrous magnesium sulfate (MgSO4) and 5.0g of anhydrous calcium chloride (CaCl2). Completely dissolve them in 5000mL of distilled water. 6.2.6.3 Operating procedures Pre-heat the super thermostat to (40±1)°C to maintain the Roche foam instrument at a constant temperature of (40±1)°C. Weigh 2.5g of sample. Add 900mL of distilled water. Then add 100mL of 1500mg/kg hard-water. Heat to (40±1)°C. Stir to make the sample evenly dissolved. Use the 200mL quantitative funnel to pipette part of the test solution. Rinse along the tube wall of the foam instrument. Then take the test solution into the bottom of the foam instrument and align the standard scale to 50mL. Then use 200mL quantitative funnel to pipette test solution. Fix the funnel center position. Drain the test solution. Immediately record the foam height. Take the average value of the two errors within the allowable range as the final result. The result is kept to an integer. 6.2.6.4 Precision The absolute difference between two independent test results obtained under repeatability conditions is not greater than 5mm. 6.2.7 Foam (cream shampoo) Determine according to the determination for detergent foaming power (Ross- Miles Method) in GB/T 13173. Read the starting foam height. Mass concentration of test solution: 2%. 6.2.8 Effective matter content (hair shampoo) 6.2.8.1 Total solids 6.2.8.1.1 Instruments The instruments include: a) Analytical balance: accuracy is 0.0001g; b) Constant temperature oven: accuracy is ±1°C; 6.2.8.2.2 Reagents The reagents include: a) 95% ethanol (chemically pure); b) Phenolphthalein indicator (10g/L): Weigh 1.0g of phenolphthalein. Dissolve in 95% ethanol. Use 95% ethanol to dilute to 100mL; c) 0.1mol/L sodium hydroxide solution: Prepare according to QB/T 2470; d) 95% neutral ethanol: Take an appropriate amount of 95% ethanol. Add few drops of phenolphthalein indicator. Use 0.1mol/L sodium hydroxide solution to titrate to reddish. 6.2.8.2.3 Operating procedures Use the sample dried in 6.2.8.1.2. Add 100mL of 95% neutral ethanol. Heat in the water bath till slightly boiling. Take it out. Slightly stir to make the sample dissolved as possible. After standing for precipitation, pour the upper clear solution into the Gourd crucible with a constant weight and a filter layer. Use a suction filter to filter to the suction-filter bottle. Keep solid insoluble matter in the beaker as much as possible. Use an appropriate amount of 95% neutral ethanol to wash the beaker twice. Transfer the washing liquid and the sediment into the Gourd crucible that has been constantly weighed to filter. Filtrate is in the same suction-filter bottle. Put the Gourd crucible in the (105±1)°C constant temperature drying oven for 3h. Take it out and put into the dryer to cool to room temperature. Then weigh (to the nearest of 0.0001g). 6.2.8.2.4 Results expression Calculate the inorganic salt content, X2, according to formula (2), in %: where, m1 - Mass of sediment in the Gourd crucible, in grams (g); m0 - Mass of sample, in grams (g). The result retains one decimal place. 6.2.8.3 Chloride 6.2.8.3.1 Instruments where, X1 - Content of total solids, %; X2 - Inorganic salt content, %; X3 - Chloride content (in sodium chloride), %. The result retains one decimal place. 6.2.9 Active matter content (cream shampoo) Determine according to the method specified in GB/T 5173. 6.3 Hygienic indicators Inspect according to the method specified in the Cosmetic Hygienic Specification. 6.4 Net weight Determine according to the method specified in JJF 1070. 6.5 Packaging appearance In accordance with QB/T 1685. 7 Inspection rules In accordance with QB/T 1684. 8 Marks, packaging, transport, storage, shelf life 8.1 Marks of sale packaging In accordance with GB 5296.3. 8.2 Packaging In accordance with QB/T 1685. 8.3 Transport Gently load and unload. Stack according to the marks of the box. Avoid violent ......
