Compared with GB/T 20315-2006, apart from structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.
a) The definitions of the terms “road milling machine,” “road milling machine chassis,” and “working quality” have been changed (see 3.1, 3.2, and 3.6,.2006 edition).
(2.1, 2.2 and 2.6)
b) Change the terms "milling device," "leveling device," and "collecting and unloading device" to "milling system," "leveling system," and "collecting and unloading device," respectively.
The definition of "material conveying system" has been changed (see 3.3-3.5, 2.3-2.5 in the.2006 edition);
c) The "Overview" section for road milling machines has been modified (see 4.1, 3.1 of the.2006 version);
d) The relevant provisions for tool arrangement, leveling, and milling depth control systems have been modified (see 4.2.4 and 4.2.5, and 3.2.4 in the.2006 edition).
and 3.2.5);
e) The relevant provisions regarding other mass characteristics, engine characteristics, transmission characteristics, and driving position in the mass characteristics section have been changed (see 5.1.3 to 5.1.6).

Terminology and Business Specifications
1.Scope
This document defines the terminology for road milling machines and specifies their functions, types, and characteristics.
This document applies to road milling machines used for milling and planing road surfaces constructed of concrete, asphalt, and similar materials.

3.Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1
road milling machine
Mobile road construction machinery that removes road paving layers through milling.
3.2
Road milling machine chassis
It carries all components of the road milling machine and distributes the necessary power to different components to ensure the machine operates normally during construction and relocation.
Rotating components.
3.3
A milling drum equipped with cutting tools, powered by a motor.
Note. During the milling operation, the milling drum rotates continuously, and the milling cutter is mainly cooled by a water spraying device.
3.4
leveling system
An automatic or manual control system used to obtain and maintain the geometry of the milled bottom surface.
Note. The geometry of the base depends on both the longitudinal and transverse slopes. The geometric reference depends on the existing road surface shape or is specifically set.

A conveying system for collecting and unloading loose materials.
Note. The material is conveyed to the front, rear, or side conveyors, or piled on the side or rear of the road milling machine.

The main unit comes with all standard configurations, with or without a driver's cab, with or without rollover protection structure (ROPS), and is equipped with a driver (75kg) and fuel tank.
