Foreword

This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1.Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents". Drafting. This document replaces GB.20055-2006 "Safety Requirements for Open-Type Rubber Mixing Mills and Plasticizing Mills". Compared with GB.20055-2006, the only differences are in the structural design. Aside from integration and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows. a) The description of "scope" has been changed (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of the.2006 edition); b) The terms "large open mill," "small open mill," and "medium open mill" and their definitions have been added (see 3.2-3.4); c) The terms and definitions for “parking angle,” “safety limit,” and “baffle” have been changed (see 3.6–3.8, 3.3–3.5 in the.2006 edition); d) Performance level specifications for relevant safety components of the control system have been added (see 4.1.1 and 4.2); e) Added general requirements regarding emergency stops (see 4.1.2); f) The requirement for detecting the working position of the baffle plate has been added (see 4.2.1.4); g) Additional safety requirements for emergency personnel release have been added (see 4.2.1.5); h) Safety requirements and protective measures have been changed for large (D≥400mm), small (D≤200mm), and medium (200mm< D) vehicles. The 400mm open mill was differentiated (see 4.2.2~4.2.4, Chapter 5 of the.2006 edition); i) The distance between safety bar A and the ground where the operator is standing has been changed; the requirement that the force required to drive the safety bar should be no less than 25N has been removed. Requirements (see 4.2.2.1.3, 5.1.1.1.7 of the.2006 edition); j) A separate manual reset button for the safety bar has been added (see 4.2.2.1.4); k) The actions and automatic reversal angle of the emergency stop device after activation have been changed, and an automatic disengagement requirement has been added (see 4.2.2.1.5,.2006 edition). (5.1.1.1.8) l) The requirement for open mill noise levels has been removed (see section 5.7 of the.2006 edition); m) The safety requirements and measures checklist has been revised (see Chapter 5, Chapter 6 of the.2006 edition); n) Usage information has been changed (see Chapter 6, Chapter 7 in the.2006 edition); o) A normative appendix, “Location of parking devices specified in 4.2.3.3.2 and 4.2.4”, has been added (see Appendix B); p) A normative appendix, “Noise Testing Procedures”, has been added (see Appendix C). introduction

According to the classification of GB/T 15706-2012, this document belongs to Class C standards. This document is particularly relevant to the following stakeholders related to machinery safety. ---Machine manufacturer; ---Health and Safety Agency. Other stakeholders affected by the level of mechanical safety include. ---Machine users; ---Machine owner; ---Service provider; ---Consumer (when the machine is scheduled to be used by the consumer). All of the aforementioned stakeholders may participate in the drafting of this document. The scope of the machinery involved, as well as the hazards, hazardous conditions, and hazardous events covered, is given in the scope of this document. When the requirements in this document differ from those in Category A or Category B standards, for machines designed and manufactured in accordance with this document... For this instrument, the requirements in this document take precedence over the requirements in other standards. Safety requirements for open-type rubber mixing mills and plasticizing mills 1.Scope This document specifies the safety requirements for the design and manufacture of open mixing mills (hereinafter referred to as "open mills"). This document applies to the entire lifecycle of the open mill (see section 5.4 of GB/T 15706-2012), during its intended use. And all significant hazards and dangerous conditions related to the open mill that may arise from misuse that the manufacturer could reasonably foresee. And hazardous events (see Appendix A). This document does not cover the design of local exhaust ventilation systems that may be required in machine-specific applications that are unknown to the manufacturer.
