This standard replaces GB/T 17260-1998 "flax fiber fineness measuring air flow method." This standard and GB/T 17260-1998
Compared to the main changes are as follows.

1 Scope
This standard specifies the method for the determination of flax fiber fineness.
The constant flow standard method and simplified method is suitable for constant flow combed flax linen, hemp and flax combed short; constant pressure method is suitable for cotton linen.
