This standard replaces GB/T 16494-1996 "Xylene Chemicals", compared with the GB/T 16494-1996, the major technological change as follows. --- Acidity, alkalinity of the unit by the "mmol/100g" adjusted "mmol/g" (see Chapter 4, Chapter 4 of the 1996 edition); --- Analytical specifications of sulfur compounds from the "0.006% (in terms of SO4)" to "0.003% (as S)", by the chemical pure specifications "0.01% (in terms of SO4)" to "0.005% (as S)" (see Chapter 4, Chapter 4 of the 1996 edition); --- Thiophene and its homologues specification by "0.0001%" to "qualified" (see Chapter 4, Chapter 4 of the 1996 edition); --- Modify the method for the determination (see 52, 1996 version 5.1.); --- Easy carbonized material increased standard colors (see 57, 1996 version 5.6.); --- Modify the packaging and logo (see Chapter 7, Chapter 7 of the 1996 edition).
