Preface
This standard replaces GB 8821-2011 "National Food Safety Standard Food Additive Beta-Carotene".
Compared with GB 8821-2011, the main changes in this standard are as follows.
---Changed the starting materials in the range;
---Changed the color item requirements in the sensory requirements;
--- Put the contents under the identification test items into physical and chemical indicators;
---Deleted the smell item requirement in the sensory requirements;
---Deleted three indicators in the physical and chemical indicators. clarity test, melting point, and heavy metals (calculated as Pb);
---Added lead (Pb) indicator;
---Added description of commercialized products.
