This standard replaces GB/T 5921-1986 “Motor vehicles and towed vehicles - Air braking systems - Identification of connections on units”. As compared with GB/T 5921-1986, the main technical changes of this standard are as follows. - CHANGE the "Introduction" into "Scope" (see Chapter 1 of this version; Chapter 1 of 1986 version); - DELETE the consistency descriptions with international standard of Chapter 1 (see Clause 1.3 of 1986 version); - AMEND the title of Chapter 2 (see Chapter 2 of this version; Chapter 2 of 1986 version); - COMBINE the Chapter 2 and 3 of the previous standard, and re-edit the clause structures; - ADD the mark descriptions of same connection with multiple functions (see Clause 2.5 of this version). Adopting re-drafting method, this standard modifies-adopts ISO 6786.1980 “Road vehicles – Air braking systems - Identification of connections on units (English Version)”. As compared with ISO 6786.1980, the main structural modifications are as follows. - INCORPORATE Chapter 2 of ISO 6786 into Chapter 1 of this standard; - REVISE Clause 3.1.1 and 3.1.2 of ISO 6786 as the listed items of Clause 2.1 of this standard; - RE-NUMBER the clauses of each paragraph of Clause 3.2 of ISO 6786. This Standard was proposed by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China. This Standard shall be under the jurisdiction of National Technical Committee of Auto Standardization (SAC/TC 114). The drafting organization of this Standard. This standard applies to motor vehicles and towed vehicles, as well as for the braking system diagram. 2 Mark 2.1 The marking code is composed of following one or two digits; the marking digits shall be located on a prominent place close to the connections of units. a) The first digit. 0 vacuum connection 1 air intake connection 2 air vent connection (not to atmosphere, see digit 3) 3 exhaust connection 4 control connection (access unit) 5 spare 6 spare 7 antifreeze connection 8 lubricant connection (for air compressor) 9 coolant connection (for air compressor) b) The second digit.
