Foreword
This Standard belongs to a national standards series “Hexagon Nuts (Part)”. The
series comprises the following.

This Standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This Standard replaces GB/T 41-2000, Hexagon Nuts – Product Grade C. Compared
with GB/T 41-2000, the main technical differences are as follows.
-- it changes the name of the standard;
-- it deletes “If, in special cases, specifications other than those listed in this
Standard are required, they can be selected from existing Standards, ... GB/T
3098.2 and GB/T 3103.1.” (Chapter 1, Edition 2000);
-- it unifies reference thread standards into GB/T 193 and GB/T 9145 (Chapter 2);
-- it deletes Nuts, Property Class 4 (Chapter 3); and
-- it adds the technical requirements of hot dip galvanizing in accordance with GB/T
5267.3 (Table 3).
This Standard was redrafted by reference to ISO 4034.2012, Hexagon Regular Nuts
(Style 1) – Product Grade C (English edition). The technical differences between this
Standard and ISO 4034.2012 and their reasons are as follows.
-- it deletes the specifications of ISO 4034, “If, in special cases, specifications other
than those listed in this International Standard are required, they can be selected

This Standard specifies the styles and dimensions, technical requirements and
designation of hexagon nuts, style 1 – product grade C.
This Standard applies to hexagon nuts, style 1, with thread M5 to M64, property class
5 and product grade C.
