Foreword
This Standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This Standard replaces GB/T 3326-1997 “Furniture - Main sizes of tables and
chairs”. Compared with GB/T 3326-1997, the main technical changes are as
follows.
- modified the codes of tables, chairs and stools (see Clause 2 of this Edition,
Clause 2 of Edition 1997);
- added the size requirements for table top height, seat height, difference
between intermediate clearance height and chair stool seat top height in
matching height difference (see 3.1 of this Edition);
- modified the size requirements for armrest internal width, seat depth and
back length of armchair (see 3.2.1 of this Edition, 3.2.1 of Edition 1997);
- modified the size requirements for front width, seat depth and back length
of back rest chair (see 3.2.2 of this Edition, 3.2.2 of Edition 1997);
- modified the size requirements for front width, seat depth and back length
of folding chair (see 3.2.3 of this Edition, 3.2.3 of Edition 1997);
- modified the size requirements for side length (or diameter) of square stool
or round stool (see 3.3.2 of this Edition, 3.3.2 of Edition 1997);
- deleted the size requirements for the height of the cabinet feet of the double
cabinet table (see 3.4.1 of Edition 1997);
- deleted the size requirements for the height of the cabinet feet of the single
cabinet table (see 3.4.2 of Edition 1997);
- modified the required size on the dressing table mirror along with ground
height (see 3.4.4 of this Edition, 3.4.3 of Edition 1997);
- deleted the requirements for size limit difference (see 3.1, 3.2, 3.4, 3.5 of
Edition 1997).
This Standard was proposed by China Light Industry Federation.
This Standard shall be under the jurisdiction of National Technical Committee
on Furniture of Standardization Administration of China (SAC/TC 480).

Furniture - Main sizes of tables, chairs and stools
1 Scope
This Standard specifies the main sizes of tables, chairs and stools.
This Standard is applicable to the design and production of double cabinet table,
single cabinet table, dressing table (dresser), single-layer table, armchair, back
rest chair, folding chair, rectangular stool, square stool, round stool. Other
tables, chairs and stools may refer to this Standard for implementation.
2 Codes
The codes and instructions of main sizes of tables, chairs and stools are shown
in Table 1.

3.4.2 Single cabinet tables
See Figure 9, Table 9 for the sizes of single cabinet tables. The cabinets on
both sides of the single cabinet table can be connected or combined.
