This Standard applies to hot-worked and cold-worked NCu30-3-0.5 alloy bar, of which the cross section is circular, square, hexagonal and rectangular (hereinafter referred to as round bar, square bar, hexagonal bar and flat bar), forgings, forging stock and cold-worked wire. 2 Normative references The following documents are indispensable for the application of this document. For dated references, only the dated version applies to this document. For undated references, the latest edition (including all amendments) applies to this document. GB/T 5235, Wrought nickel and nickel alloys. Chemical composition and forms of wrought products GB/T 8170, Rules of rounding off for numerical values & expression and judgment of limiting values GB/T 8888, Wrought heavy non-ferrous metal products - packing, marking, transportation, storing and certificate of quality ASTM E8, Test methods for tension testing of metallic materials ASTM E18, Test methods for Rockwell hardness of metallic materials ASTM E140, Hardness conversion tables for metals relationship among Brinell hardness, Vickers hardness, Rockwell hardness, surface hardness, Knoop hardness and scleroscope hardness 3 Terms and definitions The following terms and definitions are applicable to this document. 3.1 Bar, rod Products, of which the cross section is circular or the width is ≤ 254 mm and thickness is ≥ 3.2 mm and the cross section is rectangular, hexagonal or square; they are available in straight strips. 3.2 Wire A solid processed product which has a uniform cross section along the entire length; they are available in rolls. 4 Purchasing information The purchase order which is formed in accordance with this Standard shall contain the following information: a) standard name and version number; b) alloy name or grade (see Table 1); c) product shape, such as round bar, square bar, hexagonal bar or flat bar, that is attached with forging sketch or CAD drawing; d) supply status (see Table 2, Table 3 and Table 4); e) product dimensions, including length (see Tables 5 and 6); f) forging stock; if the raw material is forging stock, it shall be stated; g) surface roughness; h) quantity: in pieces; i) certificate of quality or test report result (see Chapter 15); j) sampling test; k) When the buyer requests the supplier to perform on-site witness or inspection, it shall be indicated in the purchase order. 5 Chemical composition The chemical composition of the material and the buyer’s test analysis deviation shall comply with the requirements of Table 1. in the same batch of products. 9.2.3 For non-aging products, take samples from the same batch of products in accordance with 9.1.2; and take samples from the delivered products or used forging rods. When performing aging or annealing + aging treatment on samples according to Table 3 or Table 4, if products of the same batch have been tested under the specified conditions and meet the requirements of the standard, the non-aging products of the same heat number may not be tested. 10 Number of testing 10.1 Chemical analysis: 1 test per batch. 10.2 Tensile test: 1 test per batch. 10.3 Hardness test: 1 test per batch. 11 Sample preparation 11.1 Bar 11.1.1 Select and prepare tensile samples from the finished products; perform testing along the streamline. 11.1.2 Bars and wires shall be tested in full size. If it cannot be performed, the cylindrical sample in ASTM E8 shall be used. According to ASTM E8, for flat bars of which the thickness is ≤12.7 mm and the width is so large that the full- size inspection cannot be performed, it shall use the longitudinal flat sample. 11.2 Forgings 11.2.1 Select the tensile sample of the batch from the forgings or the test extension. 11.2.2 The axis of the sample shall be located at the solid forging center and surface center, hollow forging wall internal and external surface center; and it shall be parallel to the direction of the metal streamline. 11.2.3 Use the cylindrical sample in ASTM E8. 11.3 Forging stock Take the sample directly from the forging sample or the test block. 11.4 Finished product hardness test In order to ensure that the hardness measurement value meets the and yield strength Elongation ≈ 1% 13 Inspection The supplier and the buyer shall agree on the inspection and write into the order contract. 14 Rejection and re-inspection If the product does not meet the standard requirements, it can be rejected; and the buyer shall promptly notify the supplier in written form. If the supplier disagrees with the inspection result, it may request a re-inspection. 15 Certificate of quality The supplier shall provide the certificate of quality which proves that the product has been produced, tested and inspected according to relevant standards and the sampling test results meet the standard requirements, as well as the test report. 16 Product marking According to GB/T 8888, the following information shall be identified on the product and its packaging, labels and trademarks: a) product name or grade; b) heat number; c) status; d) standard name and version number; e) dimensions; f) gross weight, tare weight and net weight; g) shipping and receiving address; h) contract or order number and others. __________ END __________ ......
