1 Scope

This standard specifies the general technical conditions and technical requirements for amusement rides space gyro category. This standard applies to the design, manufacture, installation, modification, maintenance, test, inspection, use management of amusement rides space gyro category.

2 Normative references

The provisions in following documents become the provisions of this Standard through reference in this Standard. For the dated references, the subsequent amendments (excluding corrections) or revisions do not apply to this Standard; however, parties who reach an agreement based on this Standard are encouraged to study if the latest versions of these documents are applicable. 3 General

3.1 Amusement rides space gyro category refer to amusement machines, in which the riding part rotates around an axis, with a variable inclination angle AND which has a similar movement form (hereinafter referred to as gyro). 3.2 The design, manufacture, installation, modification, maintenance, test, inspection, use management of gyro shall comply with the provisions of this standard. 3.3 The design, manufacture, installation, use of gyro shall ensure personal safety. 3.4 Other requirements, which are not mentioned in this standard, shall be implemented in accordance with relevant national standards, norms, regulations.

4 Basic design requirements

4.1 Basic requirements 4.1.1 The design of the gyro shall have design instructions, design calculations, safety analysis, as well as a complete set of design drawings that meet the relevant national standards. 4.1.2 The design of the gyro shall specify the design service life of the complete machine and main components; the service life of the complete machine shall not be less than 23000 h. 4.1.3 The design of the gyro shall comply with the provisions of GB 8408-2008 and GB/T 15706 (all parts). 4.2 The load of the gyro shall comply with the provisions in 4.2 of GB 8408-2008. 4.2.1 The load generally includes: permanent load (expressed by Gk), variable load (expressed by Qk); the impact coefficient shall be selected according to Table 1 in GB 8408-2008. 4.2.2 The load combination shall be selected, according to the provisions in 4.2.4 of GB 8408-2008 AND in combination with the actual working conditions. 4.3 The value of uniformly distributed live load in the personnel activity area shall comply with the provisions in 4.3 of GB 8408-2008. 4.4 The value of the horizontal thrust, in the personnel activity area, shall comply with the provisions in 4.4 of GB 8408-2008. 6.2 The control system shall comply with the provisions in 6.2 of GB 8408-2008 and GB/T16855.1; the control system, which uses electrical, electronic, programmable devices, shall meet the requirements of GB/T 20438 (all parts). 6.3 The control of speed limit and position limit devices shall comply with the provisions in 6.3.1 and 6.3.2 of GB 8408-2008. 6.4 Safety protection shall comply with the provisions in 6.4 of GB 8408-2008. The design of emergency stop and brake devices shall meet the relevant requirements of GB 16754-1997. 6.5 The electrical installation shall comply with the provisions in 6.5 of GB 8408-2008. 6.6 The voltage level, insulation resistance, grounding resistance, lightning protection device shall comply with the provisions in 6.6 of GB 8408-2008. The safety voltage shall comply with the relevant requirements in GB/T 3805. 6.7 Current collectors 6.7.1 The collector and the trolley wire shall be in good contact, which shall meet the requirements for current capacity. The trolley wire seat shall be flexible and reliable; have sufficient compensation capability. The trolley wire shall be made of wear- resistant materials; the joints shall be flat and properly tightened. 6.7.2 The exposed current collectors shall have rainproof facilities. 6.8 Decorative lighting 6.8.1 The decorative lighting voltage, that is easily accessible to passengers, shall adopt a safe voltage not greater than 48 V. 6.8.2 When the decorative lighting voltage, that is not easy to be touched by passengers, adopts a non-safe voltage, a leakage current circuit breaker protection device shall be used. 6.8.3 Lighting lamps shall comply with the relevant provisions of GB 7000.10-1999 and GB 7000.11-1999. 6.9 The transformers, which are used in amusement rides space gyro category, shall comply with the relevant provisions of GB 13028.

7 Safety requirements and safety facilities

7.1 Safety analysis, safety assessment, safety control shall comply with the provisions in 7.1 of GB 8408-2008. 7.2 Safety guarantee measures 7.2.1 The overall structure of the riding part, which is operating in the air, shall be solid and reliable; safety guarantee measures should be taken for its important parts. 7.2.2 When the power supply is cut off suddenly or the equipment fails to endanger the safety of the passengers, there shall be measures to guide the passengers. 7.3 Position limit device 7.3.1 At the end of the stroke of the boom lift cylinder, a position limit device shall be installed. 7.3.2 For the limit position of the boom lifting device, a buffer device shall be installed, if necessary. 7.3.3 For the gyro equipped with balance weight, when the riding part may appear static state (dead point) at the highest point, there shall be measures to prevent or deal with this state. 7.4 The restraint device for occupant safety shall comply with the provisions in 7.6 of GB 8408-2008. 7.5 Braking device 7.5.1 When the power supply is cut off, the gyro, that needs to stop for a long time or requires accurate positioning, shall be provided with a braking device. 7.5.2 After the whole machine has stopped, the cockpit of the riding part shall not swing obviously, when getting on and off the passengers; the devices such as normally closed brakes or moving platforms shall be used, if there may be visibly swinging. 7.5.3 Gyros can adopt different braking methods and brake structures (such as mechanical, electric, hydraulic, pneumatic, manual, etc.), depending on their motion forms, speeds, structures. The brake components shall have sufficient strength; the fatigue strength of the parking brake shall be checked, if necessary. The braking stroke of the brake shall be adjustable. 7.5.4 Brake braking shall be stable and reliable. It shall not make passengers feel obvious impact or cause obvious vibration and shaking of equipment structure. The absolute value of braking acceleration is generally not greater than 5.0 m/s2. A deceleration brake can be added if necessary. 7.6 The safety requirements for safety fences, platforms, operating rooms shall comply with the provisions in 7.8 of GB 8408-2008. 7.7 Other safety requirements shall comply with the provisions in 7.9 of GB 8408-2008. 9.2.1 During the open-air test, the wind speed shall not exceed 8 m/s. 9.2.2 The ambient temperature shall be between 0 °C and 40 °C; the relative humidity shall not exceed 85%. 9.2.3 The error -- between the test load and its rated load value -- shall not exceed ±5%. 9.3 Test equipment 9.3.1 According to the test requirements, select the testing instruments and measuring tools, which have corresponding precision. 9.3.2 The instruments and measuring tools, which are used in the test, are required to be certified by the legal metrology department. They are required to be checked and calibrated, before and after the test; the deviation shall be within the specified range. 9.4 According to the actual working conditions, run continuously for testing for 8 hours without load. 9.5 Full load test 9.5.1 Apply load according to the design rated value. 9.5.2 According to the actual working conditions, the continuous operation test shall not be less than 8 hours per day; the continuous cumulative operation test shall not be less than 80 hours. 9.6 The eccentric load test shall be concentrated on one side of the rotating body (turntable), according to the design maximum eccentric load (1/2 times the rated full load if not specified); it shall be tested for 3 working cycles, according to the actual working conditions; there shall be no abnormalities. 9.7 The gyro machine shall operate normally; the start and brake shall be stable; it is not allowed for crawling and abnormal vibration, shock, heating, sound. 9.8 During the no-load, full-load, eccentric load tests, the operation shall be normal; the metal structure, transmission system, safety facilities, electrical control system shall meet the requirements specified in this standard. 9.9 After the test, the parts with problems shall be dismantled and inspected. The dismantling and inspection shall be recorded in detail. The problems found shall be studied in time, to find out the reasons. Records can be written and photographed. 9.10 After each test is completed, it shall prepare a test report, which has clear conclusions and compliance with relevant provisions. 9.11 Stress test ......
