HK steel: HK and the value of height H × the value of width B × the value of web thickness t1 × the value of flange thickness t2. For example: HK1008×310×26×40. 6.4.2 T section steel: T and the value of height h × the value of width B × the value of web thickness t1 × the value of flange thickness t2. For example: T207×405×18×28. 6.5 Method of customizing H section steel specifications 6.5.1 For H section steel of the same model, the web clear height h0, flange extension width b0 and fillet radius r are the same. While keeping h0, b0 and r unchanged, the flange thickness t2 and web thickness t1 can be adjusted for customized design. The specific specifications shall be determined by negotiation between the supplier and the buyer. 6.5.2 The steps and examples for customizing the specifications of H section steel are as follows: a) Select the initial specification H × B × t1 × t2; calculate the web clear height h0 and flange extension width b0 according to Formula (2) and Formula (3) respectively; b) The design of flange thickness t2’ and web thickness t1’ shall ensure 1.0< t2'/t1'< 2.0; c) Calculate the designed height H’ and width B’ according to Formula (4) and Formula (5) respectively; d) Form new specifications H’ × B’ × t1’ × t2’. Where: h0 – web clear height, in millimeters (mm); H – height, in millimeters (mm); t2 – flange thickness, in millimeters (mm). supplier and the buyer and with indication in the contract, the product can also be supplied in accordance with other designations and chemical compositions. 7.2.2 The allowable deviation of the chemical composition of the finished products of H section steel and T section steel shall comply with the provisions of GB/T 222. 7.3 Mechanical properties and process properties The mechanical properties and process properties of H section steel and T section steel shall conform to the relevant provisions of GB/T 700, GB/T 712, GB/T 714, GB/T 1591, GB/T 4171, GB/T 19879, GB/T 33968, GB/T 34103, YB/T 4261, YB/T 4620, YB/T 4831 or other standards. After negotiation between the supplier and the buyer and indication in the contract, the goods can also be supplied according to other mechanical properties and process performance indicators. 7.4 Surface quality 7.4.1 There shall be no burrs larger than 5 mm on the cut surface of H section steel and T section steel. 7.4.2 The surface quality of H section steel and T section steel shall comply with the relevant provisions of GB/T 41749. After negotiation between the supplier and the buyer and with indication in the contract, goods can also be supplied according to other surface quality requirements. 7.4.3 The defect repair welding of H section steel and T section steel shall comply with the relevant provisions of GB/T 41749. 8 Test methods The inspection items, sampling quantity and test methods for each batch of H section steel and T section steel shall comply with the requirements of Table 3. 9 Inspection rules 9.1 Inspection and acceptance 9.1.1 The inspection and acceptance of H section steel and T section steel shall be carried out by the supplier’s quality inspection department. 9.1.2 The supplier shall ensure that the steel delivered complies with the provisions of this document or the contract.
