This Part is part 19 of GB 10395 Agricultural and forestry machinery – Safety. It
modifies and adopts EN 909.1998 Agricultural and forestry machinery - Centre pivot
and moving lateral types irrigation machines - Safety (English version).
This Part is redrafted in accordance with EN 909.1998. The technical differences with
EN 909.1998 are.
-QUOTE those national standards which adopt international standards or
European standards, and which do not equivalently adopt international standards
or European standards.
To use it easily, there are some editorial changes to EN 909.1999 as follows.
a) CHANGE “this European standard” to “this Part”;
b) DELETE the foreword and introduction of EN 909.1999;
c) MODIFY the scope of EN 909.1999;
d) USE decimal point “.” to replace comma “,” at where it is regard as decimal
point;
e) DELETE Annex ZA “Relationship between this standard and European EC
Directives” of EN 909.1999.
Annex A of this Part is normative.
This Part was proposed by China Machinery Industry Federation.
This Part shall be centralized by National Technical Committee on Agricultural
Machinery of Standardization Administration of China (SAC/TC 201).

Agricultural and forestry machinery - Safety - Part 19.
Centre pivot and moving lateral types irrigation machines
1 Scope
This Part of GB 10395 specifies the safety requirements and their verification for the
design and manufacture of center pivot and moving lateral types irrigation machines
that are electrically powered. It also specifies that the manufacturer shall provide
safety operation information.
NOTE Figures 1 to 5 give illustrations of these machines.
This Part applies primarily to centre pivot and moving lateral types irrigation
machines.
Hazards due to the use of the pump associated with center pivot and moving lateral
types irrigation machines (Hereafter referred to as irrigation machines) are not dealt
with. Hazards induced by the use of these machines for pesticide products and liquid
fertilizer application are also not dealt with.
Environmental aspects have not been considered in this Part.
2 Normative references
The provisions in following documents become the provisions of this Part
through reference in this Part of GB 10395. For dated references, the
subsequent amendments (excluding corrections) or revisions do not apply to
this Part. However, parties who reach an agreement based on this Part are
