Entry and exit banana quarantine regulations
1 Scope
This standard stipulates on-site quarantine, laboratory inspection and result evaluation of inbound and outbound bananas.
This standard applies to the quarantine of bananas, plantains, heliconia and other bananas.
2 Quarantine basis
2.1 China's laws and regulations on entry and exit plant quarantine and related regulations.
2.2 Enter the entry phytosanitary requirements for the country or region.
2.3 Intergovernmental bilateral phytosanitary agreements, protocols and memoranda.
2.4 “People’s Republic of China Animal and Plant Quarantine Permit” (hereinafter referred to as “Quarantine Permit”).
2.5 Trade quarantine requirements for trade contracts, letters of credit, etc.
3 Quarantine preparation
3.1 Review and check if the attached certificate is complete and valid.
3.2 Understand the pest epidemic situation in the exporting country or region and the occurrence of pests in the banana producing area.

4 on-site quarantine
4.1 Tools and on-site quarantine facilities

4.2 Inspection
4.2.1 Inspection method

4.2.2 Number of pumping and sampling
4.2.2.1 Batches of 10 or less (including 10 pieces), all inspected.
4.2.2.2 If the batch is more than 10 pieces, the sampling inspection shall be carried out according to the provisions of Table 1. The sampling shall be carried out simultaneously with the sampling inspection.
