Access network technology requires interoperability of EPON systems
1 Scope
This standard specifies Ethernet-based passive optical networks with transmission rates of one gigabit (1G) and ten gigabits (10G).
(EPON) system reference model, interoperability reference model and basic functions, OAM, service bearer interoperability requirements.
This standard applies to EPON systems.
Note. 1G/1G-EPON is called 1G-EPON, 10G/1G-EPON and 10G/10G-EPON are collectively called 10G-EPON, 1G-EPON and 10G-
EPON is collectively referred to as EPON.
