Compared with ISO 3166-2.2020, this document has made the following structural adjustments.
--Include ISO 3166-2.2020 administrative division name code information presented in database format in this document, that is, add Chapter 8
"List of names and codes of administrative divisions" (data updated as of the end of 2020).
Compared with ISO 3166-2.2020, the main technical differences of this document are as follows.
--Chapter 6 "List Composition" is changed to "Administrative Division List Information", and the content is modified according to 4.4 of ISO 3166-2.2013.

This document specifies basic guidelines for implementing and maintaining country and territory administrative division codes.
The codes in this document are applicable to any application scenario that needs to identify the current country and region administrative division in coded form.
