1 Scope
This standard specifies the product classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, signs, labels, packaging, transportation and storage of basketball.
This standard applies to basketball for daily use and basketball for daily activities made of various materials.

5 requirements
5.1 Raw materials
According to the relevant product standards, the limit value of hazardous materials for leather and recycled leather surface materials shall comply with the provisions of GB 20400 and Table 1.
The limit of harmful substances of PVC artificial leather surface materials shall comply with the provisions of GB 21550 and Table 2, with single-component fibers and island-shaped braids.
The polyurethane synthetic leather produced by the wet and dry composite of the fiber and the ultrafine fiber based nonwoven fabric and the polyurethane shall comply with the provisions of Table 3.

a) The leather leather is firm, full and soft, the skin is fine, the texture is close, the surface is free of cracks, and the area of each ball is allowed.

Competition basketball (secondary)
a) The leather is solid, the skin is slightly loose, the texture is close, and the surface is free of cracks. Each ball can be allowed to have a slight area of ≤10mm2.

b) Artificial leather, synthetic leather and recycled leather have clear surface pattern and uniform depth, and no impurities, pinholes, bubbles, delamination, etc. are allowed.

c) No bubbles or impurities are allowed on the rubber spherical surface; slight creases are allowed, and the cumulative spherical defect is allowed to be ≤5cm2;

e) The rubber stem is straight, allowing for 2 defects with a depth not exceeding 30% of the leather and ≤ 3mm;
f) The pattern and font are clear and correct.
Daily activities with basketball
a) The leather leather is soft and the skin is thicker, allowing slight defects that do not affect the use;
b) The surface pattern of artificial leather, synthetic leather and recycled leather is basically clear, no defects such as bubbles and delamination are allowed, and slight folds are allowed.
Traces, allowing 5 minor defects with an area of ≤ 5mm2;
c) rubber spherical bubbles, impurities can be repaired intact; crease depth can be ≤0.5mm, allowing cumulative spherical defects ≤7cm2;
d) the ball is flattened, the width of the spherical joint or groove is ≤7.5mm;
e) the rubber stem is straight and no stalk is allowed;
f) The pattern and font are basically clear and correct.

5.8 Impact resistance
Basketball No. 5 and No. 3 are not tested. The impact resistance of adult basketball (No. 7 and No. 6) should meet the requirements of Table 10.

5.9 Heat resistance
After the heat resistance test, the appearance of the ball is free from cracking, implosion, peeling, degumming, wire breakage and deformation.
Note. This item is checked when the user has heat resistance requirements.
6 Test methods
6.1 Raw materials
Before processing and production, the inspection shall be carried out according to the standards of GB 20400, GB 21550, QB/T 1646-2007 and so on.
6.2 Test conditions and preparation of samples
Should comply with the provisions of GB/T 14625.4-2008.
6.3 Appearance quality
Measured with a visual, sensory and steel ruler, vernier caliper in a well-lit environment with a viewing distance of 300 mm.
6.4 Quality
The balance is weighed using a balance.
6.5 circumference length, circumference difference
Inspection according to GB/T 14625.5.
6.6 roundness
Test according to GB/T 14625.1.
6.7 Air tightness
After inflating the ball to the specified in Table 1 of GB/T 14625.4-2008, it is allowed to stand at 23 °C ± 2 °C for 24 h, and the pressure of the ball is measured.

6.8 rebound height
Test according to GB/T 14625.2.
6.9 Impact resistance
Inspection according to GB/T 14625.3.
6.10 Heat resistance
Place the ball in the aging box, heat up to 70 ° C, constant temperature for 48 h, remove and park for 4 h, check the appearance, which should meet the requirements of 5.9.
7 Inspection rules
7.1 batch
The same variety and the same specification products produced by the same production process are used to form an inspection lot.
7.2 Factory inspection
The product shall be inspected before leaving the factory, and passed the inspection and is accompanied by a qualified mark (or inspection mark) before leaving the factory.
7.3 Type inspection
7.3.1 Inspection cycle
Type inspection should be carried out in any of the following cases.
a) When there is a major change in product structure, process or materials;
b) when the product resumes production after a long-term shutdown (six months);
c) when the national quality and technical supervision agency proposes to carry out type inspection;
d) At the time of normal production, the type inspection shall be carried out at least once every six months.
7.3.2 Number of samples
Three samples are randomly selected from the products that have passed the factory inspection (for testing the heat resistance, three other tests should be taken).

7.3.3 Qualification judgment
7.3.3.1 Single decision rule
7.3.3.1.1 Basketball for competition (Level 1). If all the indicators are qualified, the product is judged to be qualified.
7.3.3.1.2 Basketball for competition (secondary). quality, circumference, circumference difference, roundness, air tightness, rebound height and impact resistance are all qualified.
If the appearance is allowed to have minor defects that do not affect the use, the product is judged to be qualified.
7.3.3.1.3 Basketball for daily activities. circumference length, circumference difference, air tightness, rebound height are all qualified, and other items are allowed to have two disagreements.
The grid is judged to be qualified.
7.3.3.2 Batch Determination Rules
If all the three tested samples are qualified, the batch is judged to be qualified. If one (and above) is unqualified, double sampling and six retests are not acceptable

---Basketball for competition (Level 1). If all the six retest samples are qualified, the batch of products will be qualified; if one sample is unqualified, it can be judged.
The batch of products is for competition basketball (secondary);
---Basketball for competition (secondary), basketball for daily activities. If one of the six retest samples is allowed to fail, the batch is qualified.
7.4 Arbitration inspection
The sampling shall be carried out according to the normal inspection sampling plan of GB/T 2828.1-2003, and the AQL value of the appearance project shall be determined to be 6.5.
The AQL value is 2.5.
8 Marking, labeling, packaging, transportation and storage
8.1 mark
8.1.1 The products that have passed the inspection shall have the following marks.
Name of production unit (distribution unit), address of production unit, trademark, product certificate (or inspection mark), contact telephone number, product use (dimensional

8.1.2 When necessary, the product packaging shall include the product name, item number, color, quantity, storage and transportation (protection) marking and other signs.
8.2 Label
The product label should include the following contents. product name, product standard number, specification (ball number), item number, material (surface material), qualified (inspection)

8.3 Packaging
The inner and outer packaging of the product should be made of suitable packaging materials to prevent damage to the product.
8.4 Transportation and storage
8.4.1 Prevent exposure, rain and snow.
