1 Scope

This section YS/T 461 specifies the method for determination of lead and zinc concentrate mixed copper content. This section applies to the determination of lead and zinc concentrate mixed copper content. Measurement range. Copper. 0.10% to 5.00%. Principle 2 Samples with hydrochloric acid, nitric acid dissolved in dilute hydrochloric acid medium, using air - acetylene flame atomic absorption spectrometer wavelength 324.7nm At measuring the absorbance of copper, according to the standard curve method to calculate the content of copper.

3 Reagents

Unless otherwise indicated in the analysis using only recognized as analytical grade reagents and distilled or deionized water or equivalent purity. 3.1 hydrochloric acid (ρ = 1.19g/mL). 3.2 nitric acid (ρ = 1.42g/mL). 3.3 bromine. 3.4 hydrochloride (11). 3.5 nitric acid (11). 3.6 Copper Standard stock solution. Weigh 1.0000g copper (wCu≥99.99%) in 100mL beaker, add 20mL of nitric acid (3.5), cover the surface of the pan, a hot plate at low heat to dissolve completely get rid of boiling nitrogen oxides. Remove cooling to room temperature, transferred to 1000mL volumetric flask, dilute with water to volume, and mix. This solution containing 1mg per milliliter of copper. 3.7 Copper Standard Solution. Pipette 10.00mL copper standard stock solution (3.6) in 100mL volumetric flask, was added 5mL hydrochloric acid (3.4), with Dilute with water to volume, and mix. This solution containing 100μg per milliliter of copper.

4 Instrument

Atomic absorption spectrometer, with copper hollow cathode lamp. Under optimum working conditions for those who can reach the following indicators can be used. --- Characteristic concentration. a solution in the measurement matrix consistent solution features copper concentration should be less than 0.090μg/mL. --- Precision. standard solution with the highest concentration of 10 times the absorbance measurements, the standard deviation should not exceed the average absorbance of 1.0%; With the lowest concentration of standard solution (not "zero" concentration of the standard) measuring the absorbance of 10 times, the standard deviation should not exceed the maximum 0.5% of the average concentration of the standard solution absorbance. --- Linear curve. The curve is divided into five sections according to concentration, absorbance difference between the absorbance difference between the highest and the lowest segment of the segment Ratio of not less than 0.8.
