Summary This standard specifies conservative and reproducible calculation procedures for the power density (PD) of a radio frequency (RF) electromagnetic field (EMF) transmitting device incident on the human head or body, when the radiating structure of the device is not more than 200mm away from the human head and body. The calculation procedures include the finite difference time domain method (FDTD) and the finite element method (FEM), and the applicable operating frequency range is 6GHz to 300GHz. The procedures in this standard are applicable to the exposure assessment of handheld and wearable RF transmitting communication equipment to a significant majority of the population.
