Foreword
This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This standard replaces XB/T 402-2008 "Aluminum Scandium Master Alloy".
Compared with XB/T 402-2008, the main technical changes of this standard are as follows.
---Modified the standard name, from "aluminum scandium master alloy" to "scandium aluminum alloy" (see cover);
---Modified the method of brand designation, from the original digital brand to the character brand (see 3.1 and Table 1);
---Added ScAl-10, ScAl-5, ScAl-2 character designations (see Table 1);
---Increase the assessment indicators of rare earth impurities and chromium (Cr) (see Table 1);
---Revised the assessment indicators of non-rare earth impurities calcium (Ca) and iron (Fe) (see Table 1);
---The appearance quality requirements are modified (see 3.3);
---Modified the requirements of packaging, marking, transportation, storage and quality certificate (see Chapter 6).

1 Scope
This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules and markings, packaging, transportation, storage and quality certificates of scandium aluminum alloy.
This standard applies to scandium aluminum alloy obtained by the smelting reduction method, mainly used as high-performance special aluminum alloy and titanium alloy materials.

3 requirements
3.1 Product brand
The products are divided into six grades. ScAl-10A, ScAl-10B, ScAl-5A, ScAl-5B, ScAl-2A, ScAl-2B according to their chemical composition.
The designation method of rare earth products shall comply with the regulations of GB/T 17803.
3.2 Chemical composition
The chemical composition of the product should meet the requirements of Table 1.If the buyer has special requirements, the supplier and the buyer can negotiate separately.
a The balance represents the total amount minus scandium (Sc) and impurities.
b Rare earth impurities refer to all rare earth elements except Pm and Sc.
