1 Scope
This standard specifies the principles and operating procedures for the prevention and control of vector organisms in hotels and restaurants.
This standard applies to the control of rodents, cockroaches, flies, and mosquitoes in hotels and restaurants.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1
Vector
Organisms that can transmit pathogenic organisms from the source of infection or the environment to humans through biological and/or mechanical means.
Note 1.The vector organisms involved in this standard are mosquitoes, flies, cockroaches and rodents.

Hotel
A public building that can provide guests with all or part of services such as accommodation, catering, conferences, fitness, and entertainment.
It consists of a total part and an auxiliary part, also called a hotel, hotel, and resort.

Rodent-proof structure or facilities
A device that can prevent rodents from entering indoors or related places.

4 Principles of Prevention
According to the industry requirements and environmental characteristics of hotels and restaurants, and under the premise of ensuring personnel and food safety, adopt environmental management and physical prevention
The main control measures are to eliminate the breeding places of disease vectors, establish and improve protective facilities, and use safe and efficient sanitary insecticides when necessary
And rodenticide, effectively control the hazards of disease vectors.
5 Operating procedures
5.1 Hazard investigation and assessment
5.1.1 Investigation method
5.1.1.1 The rodent density survey shall be conducted in accordance with the rodent trace method in GB/T 23798; the rodent prevention facilities shall be conducted in accordance with GB/T 27770-2011 Appendix A
The requirements of A.1 and Appendix A of this standard shall be investigated.
5.1.1.2 The cockroach density survey is carried out according to the visual method in GB/T 23795.
5.1.1.3 The flies density survey shall be conducted according to the visual inspection method in GB/T 23796; the fly prevention facilities shall be conducted in accordance with 4.2 and in GB/T 27772-2011
The requirements of Appendix B of this standard are investigated.
5.1.1.4 The mosquito density survey shall be conducted in accordance with the path method, larvae trapping method and human trapping method in GB/T 23797.
5.1.1.5 When necessary, other appropriate survey methods in the above national standards can be used.
5.1.2 Survey content and indicators
Investigate the damage of rodents, cockroaches, flies and mosquitoes in indoor and outdoor environments. In indoor survey, 15 m2 is converted into a standard room
Check the number of rooms. An independent room smaller than 15 m2 is regarded as a standard room. The specific survey content and indicators are as follows.
a) Rodents. Investigate and record the number of positive rooms with rat feces, rat carcasses, rat holes, rat passages, rodent marks, paw prints, etc., as well as blocking rat
The installation of rodent-proof facilities such as boards, rodent-proof fences, floor drains, etc.; recorded in the surroundings of buildings in the external environment, temporary garbage storage, green belts,
Check the walking distance and the number of rat tracks found along the water body and other places; fill in the survey results in the survey form (see Appendix C

b) Cockroach. There are cockroach (nymph), live egg sheath, cockroach traces (cockroach corpse, empty egg sheath, feces, etc.) in the investigation record room

c) Flies. Investigate and record the number of positive rooms with adult fly activities and the number of adult flies in positive rooms, as well as the number and number of indoor and outdoor flies breeding places

5.1.3 Key areas and locations for investigation
5.1.3.1 Outdoor building surroundings, green spaces and gardens, water bodies, garbage storage, water plants and containers, underground pipe wells, drainage ditches (wells), etc.
5.1.3.2 The front lobby service desk, luggage storage, shopping mall, tea (wine) bar, staff duty (dressing) room, toilet, etc. in the lobby.
5.1.3.3 Disinfection room, spare room, staff duty (dressing) room in guest room area, inspection wells (rooms) for power supply and water supply facilities, etc.;
The bathroom, wardrobe (cabinet), bedside table, desk drawer, refrigerator, microwave oven, computer, TV, telephone, heating cover, etc. in the room.
5.1.3.4 The VIP room, podium, audio-visual control room, disinfection room, staff duty (dressing) room, heating cover, toilet, etc. in the conference center.
5.1.3.5 Dining tables, bar counters, spare cabinets (rooms), air conditioners, microwave ovens, green plants, anchoring gaps, toilets, etc. in dining places.
5.1.3.6 Kitchen doors and windows, walls, ceilings, pipeline holes, cable trays, warehouses, staff duty (dressing) rooms, garbage containers
Storage, water supply and drainage facilities, ventilation facilities and fire-fighting equipment, as well as staff’s access channels, etc.; electric control box, refrigerator (cabinet),

5.1.3.7 Changing room, rest room, spare room, dining bar, table and chair (sofa), sauna room, swimming pool, sanitation in leisure and entertainment places

5.1.4 Hazard assessment
According to the survey results, refer to the vector density control water in GB/T 27770, GB/T 27771, GB/T 27772, GB/T 27773
Level related indicators, assess the degree of vector biological hazards, and demarcate key control areas and general control areas.
5.2 Develop a technical plan
According to the results of the vector investigation and hazard assessment, the technical plan is formulated, the main contents are as follows.
a) Types of disease vectors, infestation and breeding sites, and scope of prevention and control;
b) Environmental governance measures;
c) Installation and maintenance of protective facilities;
d) Setup and maintenance of anti-rodent bait station (box);
e) Physical or biological control measures;
f) Chemical control measures;
g) Safety precautions;
h) Evaluation of control effect.
5.3 Operating procedures
5.3.1 Environmental governance
5.3.1.1 Clean up outdoor debris, remove garbage, trim green plants; remove waste basins, barrels, bottles, cans, tires and other water containers, and remove leaves

5.3.1.2 Dredge and clean underground pipe wells, remove dirt, and remove stagnant water.
5.3.1.3 Harden the ground around the building, fill in potholes, and plug the holes; repair damaged ground and walls.

5.3.1.9 Clean up scattered or leftover food, used tableware and kitchen waste in the restaurant.
5.3.1.10 The domestic garbage is collected in bags, the kitchen garbage is put into a closed container, the garbage temporary storage area is equipped with washing and drainage facilities, and the garbage is cleaned daily.
5.3.1.11 Water used in small containers for growing hydroponic plants should be replaced once a week.
5.3.2 Protective facilities
5.3.2.1 According to GB/T 27770-2011 Appendix A A.1 and this standard Appendix A, and GB/T 27772-2011 4.2 and

5.3.2.2 Holes or gaps (exceeding the

5.3.3 Rodent control
5.3.3.1 Poison bait stations (boxes) with warning signs shall be set up in hidden places in outdoor building wall foundations, landscaping landscape areas, cargo transfers, and temporary storage of garbage.
5.3.3.2 Hang rodent-killing wax on the ground or near the water surface at the bottom of the underground tube well.
5.3.3.3 On the outside of the entrance and exit between the kitchen and the outdoors, along the wall base or other hidden places, place a poison bait station (box) with warning signs.
5.3.3.4 Use mouse sticking boards, mouse traps (clamps) and other physical methods to catch mice in the kitchen, and place mouse traps (clamps) or sticky mouse boards around the temporary storage area of garbage.
5.3.3.5 In the monitoring room, electric control room, HVAC control room, water pump room, laundry room, elevator tube well, equipment floor and basement, etc., according to

5.3.4 Cockroach control
5.3.4.1 Check foreign cargo to prevent cockroaches or egg sheaths from being carried with the cargo.
5.3.4.2 In places such as kitchens, laundry rooms, bathrooms and saunas, boiling water or high-temperature steam can be used to scald the cockroaches hidden in the gaps.
5.3.4.3 Sticky cockroach paper (box) should be placed in a dry place where cockroaches are infested, such as bar counters, wardrobes, cabinets, shelves and refrigerators (cabinet)

5.3.4.4 Glue bait is suitable for furniture, food processing and storage equipment, power supply facilities, wall gaps and anchor gaps, etc.; granular poison bait should be used in dry places.

5.4 Safety precautions

Installation location of rodent prevention facilities
A.1 Holes around the pipelines of water supply and drainage pipes, cables, gas and air-conditioning that lead into the room; doors and windows on the first floor of buildings.
A.2 Doors and windows, drain outlets, exhaust fans, floor drains, pipe ducts and kitchen goods entrances and exits in various areas in the kitchen operation room.
