Summary
This standard specifies the classification of flammable and combustible liquids in the oil and gas industry, container storage, pipeline systems, tanker handling and fire and explosion risk control requirements. This standard applies to the storage, handling and use of flammable and combustible liquids (including waste liquids) in the oil and gas industry. This standard does not apply to: a) Substances with a melting point equal to or greater than 37.8 ��C. b) Liquids that do not meet the definition of ��liquid�� in Chapter 3 and the fluidity guidelines given in Chapter 4. c) Any liquefied or cryogenic liquid as defined in Chapter 3. d) Liquids that have no flash point but are combustible under certain conditions, such as certain halogenated hydrocarbons and mixtures containing halogenated hydrocarbons. e) Aerosol products. f) smoke, spray or foam. g) Transport of flammable and combustible liquids. h) Storage of fuel tanks and containers connected to fuel equipment
