1 Scope

This part of SN/T 4779 specifies a flow injection visible spectrophotometric method for the determination of total hardness in outlet bottled water. This section applies to the determination of the total hardness of packaged drinking water and natural mineral water.

Measure 210 mL of concentrated ammonia water (4.1) in a 1000 mL volumetric flask and bring up to volume with water until Scale. 4.10 EDTA-MgNa2 solution. Weigh 0.2g (accurate to 0.1g) EDTA-MgNa2 (4.2) in a beaker, dissolve, transfer and use water Capacitance to 1000mL. 4.11 Buffer solution. Accurately weigh 67.6g (accurate to 0.1g) ammonium chloride (4.3) in 572mL ammonia dilution (4.8), dissolve, transfer And make up to 1000mL with water. 4.12 Calcium and Magnesium Indicator Solution.
