Determination of chlorine in exported bottled water
Flow injection ion selective electrode method
1 Scope
This part of SN/T 4779 specifies a flow injection ion selective electrode method for the determination of chlorine in bottled water.
This section applies to the determination of chlorine content in packaged drinking water and bottled drinking natural mineral water.
2 Normative references
The following documents are indispensable for the application of this document. For dated references, only dated versions apply to this article.
Pieces. For undated references, the latest edition (including all amendments) applies to this document.
GB/T 6682 Analytical laboratory water specifications and test methods
3 Method summary
The sample and the total ionic strength regulator are diluted in a certain volume, and then detected by a flow injection ion selective electrode method, using an electromotive force
A standard curve was established based on the linear relationship between the logarithm of the chloride ion activity and the external standard method.
See Appendix A for a reference to the workflow.
4 reagents and materials
Unless otherwise stated, the reagents used are of analytical grade and the water should meet the requirements of Class I water specified in GB/T 6682.
4.1 Anhydrous potassium nitrate.
4.2 Total ionic strength modifier (1 mol/L potassium nitrate). Weigh 101 g of anhydrous potassium nitrate (4.1) and dilute to 1000 mL with water.
4.3 Chloride standard stock solution. 1000mg/L (calculated as Cl-).
4.4 Standard working fluid. separately draw the appropriate amount of chloride ion standard stock solution (4.3) in a group containing 10mL total ionic strength regulator (4.2)
In a 100mL volumetric flask, dilute to volume with water to obtain chloride ion concentrations of 4.50mg/L, 10.0mg/L, 20.0mg/L,
Standard solutions of 40.0 mg/L, 100 mg/L,.200 mg/L, and 400 mg/L. Standard working fluids need to be used now.
4.5 0.45 μm water filter.
5 Instruments and equipment
5.1 Flow Injection Analyzer (FIA). with a composite chloride ion selective electrode.
5.2 Analytical balance. The sensitivity is 0.01g.
5.3 Volumetric flask. 100mL, 1000mL.
5.4 Pipette. 5mL, 20mL.
5.5 Micro-pump. 100μL~1000μL.
