SN/T 4120 "Export Food Contact Products Tableware and Tableware Concave Utensils" includes the following two parts.
--- Part 1. Requirements for preparing tableware;
--- Part 2. Technical requirements for stainless steel and silver-plated cutlery.
This part is the first part of the SN/T 4120.
This part is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This part is equivalent to ISO 8442-1.1997 "Food contact products for tableware and tableware - Part 1
Requirements.
This section has made the following editorial changes.

1 Scope
This part of the SN/T 4120 specifies the materials, performance requirements and testing methods for the tableware.
This section applies to appliances for the preparation of food and for the provision of meals.
This section divides the prepared tableware into two levels.
--- Ordinary preparation tableware blade or fork corrosion resistance can withstand the cleaning process of the dishwasher.
--- Special preparation tableware blade corrosion resistance can withstand dishwasher cleaning and disinfection process.

4.1 General
The materials used in the manufacture of finished cutlery shall meet all the performance requirements specified in this section.
Raw materials used in the manufacture of tableware shall ensure that the finished tableware meets all relevant technical requirements of this section.
Under normal conditions of use, tableware should not release substances that are harmful to the human body or have an effect on the human senses.
