Part 2. flame atomic absorption spectrometry
1 Scope
This section specifies methods for the determination of lead, cadmium and chromium in electrical and electronic products by flame atomic absorption spectrometry.
This section applies to the determination of lead, cadmium and chromium content in various materials of electrical and electronic products.
2 Method summary
For metal materials in electrical and electronic products, it is directly treated by conventional acid digestion; for other materials, closed high temperature pressure tanks are used -
Acid digestion treatment. Lead, cadmium, and chromium in the material are dissolved salts in the acid digestion solution. Digestion liquid into flame atomic absorption spectrometry
The measurement was carried out in a photometer.
3 reagents
Unless otherwise stated, only reagents identified as analytically pure and above and distilled or deionized water or water of comparable purity were used in the analysis.
3.1 Nitric acid (HNO3). excellent grade pure.
3.2 Nitric acid solution (2+98).
3.3 30% hydrogen peroxide (H2O2). analytically pure.
3.4 Hydrochloric acid (HCl). excellent grade pure.
3.5 Hydrofluoric acid (HF). excellent grade pure.
3.6 Lead, cadmium, chromium standard solution. concentration of 100mg/L or 1000mg/L.
4 Instruments and equipment
4.1 Flame atomic absorption spectrophotometer. equipped with lead, cadmium and chromium hollow cathode lamps. See Appendix A for instrument operating conditions.
4.2 Oven. (0 ~.200) ° C, temperature control accuracy ± 5 ° C.
4.3 Pressure tank. Teflon liner and stainless steel tank jacket.
4.4 Electric heating plate.
4.5 Crushing equipment. chainsaws, grinders, metal cutting machines, lathes, etc.
5 sample preparation
5.1 polymer material
The sample is ground into a powder sample having a particle diameter of not more than 1 mm by a crushing device such as a chainsaw or a grinder.
5.2 Metal material
The sample is processed into a chip or a strip having a diameter of not more than 1 mm and a length of not more than 5 mm by a metal cutter, a lathe or the like.
5.3 Other materials
The preparation method is the same as 5.1.

6.1 Sample digestion
6.1.1 Pressure tank digestion method

Weigh the sample (0.2 ~ 0.5) g, accurate to 1mg, placed in a pressure tank (4.3), add 8mL nitric acid (3.1), 2mL 30% peroxidation
