This standard is a revision of SB/T 238-1985 "Technical Conditions for Vegetable Shredders". The revised standard shall be in accordance with the standard format specified in GB/T 1.1.

The main differences between this standard and SB/T 238-1985 are as follows.

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and signs, packaging, transportation and storage of the cutting machine.
This standard applies to the design, manufacture and inspection of various vegetable cutting machines for processing vegetables.

4.1 General technical requirements
4.1.1 The cutting machine shall be designed in accordance with the requirements of this standard and relevant industry standards and national standards, and approved in accordance with the procedures prescribed by it.

4.1.5 There should be safety devices and measures.

4.1.5.2 Interlocking means shall be provided between the rotating cutter and the rotary dial and the protective cover provided with the hinge member.
