Foreword
This standard is a revision of SB 10346-2001 "Candy Classification".
This standard replaces SB 10346-2001 "Candy Classification".
Compared with SB 10346-2001 "Candy Classification", this standard is mainly revised as follows.
--- Changed from SB 10346-2001 mandatory industry standard to recommended industry standard;
--- The terminology adds two terms "starch sugar" and "sugar alcohol";
--- Change "polished candy" to "toffee candy";
--- Change the "hard sandwich candy" to "sweet candy";
--- Increase the "liquid candy".
This standard was proposed by the China Business Federation.
This standard is managed by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China.

Candy classification
1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions and types of candy.
This standard applies to the management department, inspection department, candy, food processing enterprises to divide the type of candy.
2 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this standard.
2.1
Made from white granulated sugar, starch syrup (or other sugar), sugar alcohol or other sweeteners that are allowed to be used as the main raw materials.
Solid, semi-solid or liquid sweet food.
2.2
Generally refers to sugar or cotton sugar made from sugar cane or sugar beet; sugar used in food industry is starch syrup, sucrose, glucose, lactose and the like.
2.3
Liquid glucose, sucrose, fructose syrup, crystalline glucose, oligo-isomaltose, crystalline fructose and other products produced from starch.
2.4
A polyol that is naturally or reduced by the corresponding sugar.
3 types of candy
Hard candy
Hard, crisp candy.
3.1.1 Sugar, starch syrup type hard candy
A hard candy made from white sugar and starch syrup.
3.1.2 Sugar Candy
A hard candy made from white sugar.
3.1.3 Sandwich Hard Candy
A hard candy with a hard, brittle, and stuffy leather.
3.1.4 Coated, coated and polished hard candy
Surface coated, polished or unpolished hard candy.
3.1.5 Other types of hard candy
Hard candy other than the above types.
Crisp sugar
A loose, crispy candy made from sugar, crushed nuts (sauce) and other main ingredients.
