4 Product description

The product description should enable the user to clearly identify the product, such as product name, specification, purpose, main performance and technical parameters, and its He signs waiting. Wood flooring products can be described with reference to the requirements of relevant national documents.

5 Product life cycle assessment

5.1 Purpose Evaluate the environmental impact of the wood floor production life cycle, and provide requirements for the index parameters of the Type III Environmental Declaration (EPD). 5.2 Scope 5.2.1 Functional unit Production of 1m3 wooden floor. 5.2.2 System boundary The boundary of the wood floor life cycle system, as shown in Figure 1, includes. --Raw material production (preparation of raw materials and substrates); --Auxiliary raw material production (paints, adhesives, curing agents, waterproofing agents, antifungal agents, flame retardants, insect repellents, etc.); -Energy production (electricity, raw coal, gasoline, natural gas, etc.); --Transportation of raw materials and energy; --Wood floor production (see appendix B), excluding the use and abandonment phases. Figure 1 Schematic diagram of the boundary of the wood floor life cycle system 5.2.3 Description of data 5.2.3.1 Enterprise site data The company’s on-site data includes raw material consumption, energy consumption, pollutant emissions, and transportation (mainly transportation (See Appendix A, Table A.1) and other inventory data (see Appendix A, Table A.1), and the method and source of data acquisition should be explained. 5.2.3.2 Background data Background data includes basic inventory data required for raw material mining, energy production, and raw material transportation (see Appendix A, Table A.2). So Data should be explained, including data source (database or publication used), data time, transportation (including transportation form, transportation Distance and volume). The commonly used LCA evaluation database is shown in Appendix A, Table A.3. 5.2.4 Criteria for selection of inputs and outputs a) Any toxic and hazardous materials and substances should be included in the list; b) All inputs of energy are listed; c) All inputs of raw materials are listed; d) Various emissions from the atmosphere and water bodies are listed; e) The discharge of hazardous solid waste should be listed; f) General solid waste less than 1% of the total solid waste discharge is negligible; g) The consumption and emissions of road and plant infrastructure, equipment in various processes, personnel in the plant and living facilities are ignored. 5.2.5 Data quality requirements 5.2.5.1 Quality requirements for field data a) Representativeness. On-site data should be the production statistics of the enterprise throughout the year (natural year); b) Completeness. On-site data should be collected according to the principle of 5.3.4. c) Accuracy. The raw material, energy, and consumption data in the field data should come from the actual production statistics records of the functional unit products; The environmental emission data is given priority to the relevant environmental monitoring report, or calculated by the emission factor or material balance formula. All field data should be It is converted into a unit product, and the relevant original data, data source, calculation process, etc. need to be recorded in detail. d) Consistency. The same data sources, statistical calibers, and processing rules should be maintained when collecting on-site data. 5.2.5.2 Quality requirements for background data a) Representativeness. The company’s raw material suppliers that meet the requirements of the relevant GB/T 24044 documents and are independently approved by a third party are preferred. The verified upstream product LCA report is used as background data, and then the public life cycle representing the domestic and industry average production level in recent years is selected Evaluate the data, once again select the foreign similar technical data as the background data; b) Completeness. The system boundary of background data should be from resource extraction to raw and auxiliary material production and product delivery. c) Consistency. All selected background data should completely cover the life cycle inventory factors specified in this document. The selection of background data for LCA of similar products should be consistent, and data from the same database should be selected. If the background data is updated, LCA The report should also be updated. 5.2.5.3 Life cycle inventory factors The common life cycle inventory factors of wood flooring companies are shown in Table 1. 5.2.5.4 Data quality evaluation The data quality evaluation is carried out according to Table 2. 5.3 List analysis 5.3.1 Data collection 5.3.1.1 Data collection scope The scope of data collection should cover every unit process in the system boundary, and the source of the data should be indicated. Data collection includes...
