Standing wood biomass model and carbon measurement parameters---fir
1 Scope
This standard specifies the standing biomass model of fir (Abiesspp.) and its compatible biomass conversion factor function, rhizome ratio function and
Carbon factor, etc.
This standard applies to the measurement and monitoring of biomass and carbon storage of fir trees in China.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1
Standing timber biomass treebiomass
The total dry weight of organic matter present in the standing timber at a certain moment, the biomass on the ground and the underground biomass, are expressed by MA and MB, respectively.
Among them, the aboveground biomass includes four components. trunk (peeling), bark, branches (including fruit), and leaves (including flowers); underground biomass includes rhizomes and coarse roots.
(diameter ≥ 10mm) and fine root (2mm ≤ diameter < 10mm), roots below 2mm in diameter are not included in root biomass and are included in the soil.
Organic matter content.
3.2
Biomass conversion factor biomassconversionfactor
The ratio of biomass to standing timber in forest trees (g/cm3 or t/m3), expressed in BCF. According to this parameter, the standing timber product can be
V (10-3 m3) is converted to aboveground biomass MA (kg). When the biomass conversion factor is not constant, along with the forest DBD D (cm) and tree height
When H(m) changes, the relationship between the biomass conversion factor and the DBH and tree height of the forest is called the biomass conversion factor function.
3.3
Rhizome than root-to-shootratio
The ratio of forest underground biomass to aboveground biomass, expressed in RSR. Based on this parameter, underground organisms can be estimated from aboveground biomass MA.
The amount of MB is obtained to obtain the whole tree biomass. When the rhizome ratio is not constant, the root-to-stem ratio and the forest will vary with the DBH and tree height H of the forest.
The relationship between the DBH and the tree height is called the rhizome ratio function.
3.4
Wood density wooddensity
The mass per unit volume of wood (g/cm3 or t/m3), expressed in WD. Usually divided into full dry density, air dry density and basic density, here
The basic density of the trunk (including bark), that is, the ratio of the trunk dry mass to the trunk volume.
