1 Scope
This standard stipulates the seed collection and storage, afforestation technology, tending management, and technical file management of Phoebe chinensis.

This standard is applicable to the cultivation of precious timber forests in the Nanmu suitable area of China.

3 Seed harvesting and storage
3.1 Seeding mother tree
The seedlings should be sourced from the mother trees that have been identified (approved) by the competent forestry authorities, or the growth conditions are good, and the trunks are straight.
It is suitable for the middle-aged forest with full and well-proportioned trees and no pests and diseases.
3.2 Seed harvesting
3.2.1 Seed collection time
When the peel turns from black to dark purple from November to December, the seeds mature and can be harvested.
3.2.2 Harvesting method
Use high-branched shears to cut long-leaved branches, or lay tarpaulin under the trees, beat the trees with bamboo poles, or collect naturally-shedted seeds.
The seed origin label and seed collection registration form implement the relevant provisions of GB/T 16619.
3.3 Seed treatment, storage
First, soak the fruit in clear water for 1d~2d, until the flesh softens, then pick up the rub and rinse repeatedly with water.
More, each time before the scouring, you can add a proper amount of grass ash rubbing to remove the oil; after the seeds are rinsed clean, the ventilated room is dried and stratified with moist fine sand.
Storage, seeds and clean river sand are mixed evenly in a ratio of 1.4, and the mixture humidity is maintained at about 60%. Seed bank, packaging, delivery and storage, etc.
