1 Scope
This standard specifies the specific technical requirements for the specificity, consistency and stability of new varieties of Pinus L. plants.
This standard applies to the DUS test of new species of Pinus.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions as defined in GB/T 19557.1-2004 apply to this document.

4 DUS test technical requirements
4.1 Test materials
4.1.1 The time, place and test materials for the applicant to submit the test materials to the applicant (the New Variety Protection Office of the State Forestry Administration)
Quantity and quality. For test materials submitted from non-test countries or regions, applicants shall follow the relevant regulations for entry and exit and transportation of each country.

4.1.2 The submitted test materials are those plants that have been obtained by asexual reproduction for 3 years (inclusive) or more, such as the male flower and the female flower (fruit).
The characteristics of the test are required to provide plants of 5 years or older.
4.1.3 The number of test materials provided shall not be less than 10 strains.
The new variety of materials to be tested should be healthy, normal growth, and plants infected with no pests and diseases.
4.1.4 The test materials provided by the applicant shall not have any influence except that the approval authority permits or requires the processing of the materials provided.
