3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1
Industrial salt dopant industrialsaltsadulterant
An industrial salt (sodium chloride) impurity that is incorporated into turpentine and is not a turpentine.
4 Principle
Industrial salt that may appear in turpentine, using chloride ions to react with silver ions to form white silver chloride precipitate, whether it is in turpentine

5 Test methods
5.1 Reagents and solutions
5.1.1 Unless otherwise stated in this chapter, the solutions used are prepared according to the provisions of GB/T 601 and GB/T 603. The reagents used are of analytical grade.
Reagents, test water should meet the three-level water regulations in GB/T 6682.
5.1.2 Turpentine oil. meet the requirements of GB/T 12901 fat turpentine (excellent grade).
5.1.3 Silver nitrate solution (0.1mol/L). Weigh 17.5g of silver nitrate, add appropriate amount of water and 13mL concentrated nitric acid to dissolve it, then add water to
1000 mL was stored in a brown bottle.
5.1.4 10% nitric acid solution. Measure 110mL of nitric acid (content 65%) and add it to water, and dilute to 1000mL with water.
