Technical rules for post-harvest processing of camellia
1 Scope
This standard specifies the requirements for harvesting, post-harvest treatment, quality control, testing methods, storage and transportation of Camellia oleifera.
This standard applies to the postharvest treatment of the fruit of the Camellia oil species.

3 Fruit harvesting
3.1 Harvesting method
After the fruit is ripe, it is picked artificially or mechanically from the tree, and the flower buds and branches should not be damaged.
3.2 Mature sign
The peel is smooth, the color becomes brighter, and the fluff falls off naturally. When the fruit of the red-skin type is mature, the peel is red with yellow, and the green type is white with white.
The shell is micro-cracked, the shell is dark black or brown, shiny, and the kernel is white with yellow, showing oily.
3.3 Determination of harvesting period
When the fruit of the same variety of oil tea was cracked, the fruit was collected, and it was completed 7d~10d. Stands with inconsistent maturity should be accompanied by cooking.
Avoid picking unripe fruit.
4 post-harvest processing
4.1 Remove the shell
Fruits should be dried in time after harvesting, artificially or mechanically removed from the shell, and the fruit should not be stacked for more than 7 days. In case of rainy weather, it can be in the room.
Spread on the concrete floor. Different origins, stand and maturity Camellia should be treated separately.
