1 Scope
This standard gives a uniform and repeatable method for identifying the performance of FOPS under load and specifies the typical test piece.
Performance requirements under this load.
This standard applies to mobile or self-propelled special forestry machinery as defined in GB/T 19365.
Note. This standard does not apply to the falling object protection structure of polycarbonate materials under investigation.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this standard.
3.1
A set of structural components that are mounted on the machine to provide appropriate protection to the driver when there is a falling object (eg, trees, stones, etc.).
3.2
A vertical projection approximation of a tall, ordinary dressed, hard hat, sitting male driver (see GB/T 8420).
3.3
When the machine is tipped over, a series of structural members that reduce the likelihood of a seat belt and a seated driver being crushed are reduced.
Note. These structural members include various auxiliary brackets, supports, mountings, supports, bolts, pins, suspensions or elastic dampers that will protect the structural system.
The system is fixed to the machine frame, and the structural member does not include a mounting device integrated with the machine frame.
