This standard replaces LY/T 1473-1999 "Magnetic Selector".
The main differences between this standard and LY/T 1473-1999 are as follows.

1 Scope
This standard specifies the parameters, requirements, inspection rules and signs, packaging, transportation and storage of iron remover.
This standard is applicable to the iron remover for the production of wood-based panels such as particleboard and fiberboard.

3 classification
3.1 The iron remover can be divided into roller type, belt type and non-self-discharging type according to the structure.
3.2 The iron remover can be divided into. permanent magnet type and electromagnetic type according to the magnetic pole characteristics.
3.3 According to the cooling method of electromagnetic iron remover, it can be divided into three types. air-cooled, oil-cooled and naturally cooled.

4.1 Self-unloading iron remover
4.1.1 Roller type electromagnetic iron remover
The schematic diagram of the roller type electromagnetic iron remover is shown in Figure 1.
4.1.2 Belt type self-unloading iron remover
Belt type self-unloading iron remover is divided into electromagnetic type and permanent magnet type. The schematic diagram of the structure of the belt type self-unloading electromagnetic iron remover is shown in Fig. 2.
4.2 Non-self-discharging iron remover (manually cleaned iron)
