1 Scope
This standard specifies the suitable area and environmental conditions of tung tree or millennium tung, seedling breeding, seedling planting and management, forest management, and fruit harvesting.

4 seedling breeding
4.1 Breeding methods
Two methods of grafting and seed breeding can be used for the propagation of tung tree. The forests cultivated for the purpose of harvesting fruits are used for grafting.

4.2 Selection of species and varieties
The selection of tung tree and millennium tung should be rationally divided according to the distribution of species, and the range of division should be selected to be suitable for local cultivation.
Varieties should be selected for the fine varieties that are suitable for local cultivation or for the national and local certification and identification. The selection of good varieties can be found in Appendix B.
4.3 Seeds
4.3.1 Fruit harvesting
The harvest season of tung tree fruit is in the middle and late October, and there will be some differences between the north and south cultivation areas, but the color of the tung tree fruit is generally green.
Start with red, brown or yellow, and gently shake the tree to have a natural fruit drop.
4.3.2 Fruit treatment
After harvesting, the tung fruit should be placed in the indoor ventilation area, and the stacking height should not be too high, generally 20cm~30cm, stacked for 15d~20d.
