1 Scope
This standard specifies the type, material, specification, layout and setting requirements of the island name sign.
This standard applies to the production and installation of the name signs of islands in the People's Republic of China.
2 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
2.1
Island
A naturally formed land area surrounded by sea and above the water at high tide.
2.2
Special purpose island
Island with special purpose or special protection value.
Note. Including islands where territorial sea base points are located, islands for national defense purposes, islands in marine nature reserves, etc.
2.3
Island standardname
The name of the island determined by legal procedures.
2.4
Island name signs signsofislandnames
Facilities that mark the standard name of the island and related information.
3 Types and technical requirements of island name signs
3.1 Stele-style island name signs
3.1.1 Material
Use materials such as granite and basalt suitable for island environment, corrosion resistance and weathering resistance.
3.1.2 Structure
Including pedestal and monument body.
3.1.3 Specifications
Both the base and the stele body are rectangular parallelepipeds, and their dimensions should meet the following requirements.
a) The length of the base is not less than 140cm, the width is not less than 40cm, and the height is not less than 20cm. Excavate the foundation trench in the center of the base;
b) The part of the stele body that exposes the base is 140cm long, 20cm wide, and 80cm high. The depth of the tablet embedded in the base is not less than 10cm.
