In order to implement the Environmental Protection Law of the People's Republic of China and promote the construction of environmental information, we now approve the Wastewater Category Code (Trial).
The six standards are national environmental protection standards and are released.
The standard name and number are as follows.
1. Wastewater Category Code (Trial) (HJ 520-2009);
3. “Type Code of Surface Water Environment Functional Zone (Trial)” (HJ 522-2009);

1 Scope of application
This standard specifies the classification and code of wastewater discharge laws.
This standard is applicable to the collection, exchange, processing, use and environmental information system construction of wastewater discharge laws of environmental protection departments at all levels.

3 Terms and definitions
Terms and definitions established in GB J 125-89, GB/T 10113-2003, HJ/T 416-2007 and HJ/T 417-2007, and
The following terms and definitions apply to this standard.
3.1 Wastewater discharge rules
The relationship between the various discharge states of the wastewater during the inspection period (one year). Monitoring of wastewater discharge status indicators by relevant state
