3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

Seed cotton reflectance reflectancedegreeofseedcotton
The brightness of the reflected light of the seed cotton sample is expressed by Rd.

Seed cotton yellow depth yelownessdegreeofseedcotton
The intensity of the yellow hue of the seed cotton sample is represented by b.
4 Principle and composition of instrument test
4.1 Test Principle
The white light beam is incident on the surface of the seed cotton sample at an angle of 45° to the normal of the cotton sample surface, and the surface of the seed cotton sample is measured in the normal direction.
The surface reflects light. Analyze the spectral components and reflectance, and obtain the Rd and b values of the seed cotton samples.
4.2 Instrument composition
The seed cotton color detector is composed of three parts. color detection components, microcomputer, and detection software. Detecting components and microcomputer communication
Through USB or Bluetooth communication interface connection, the detection software is installed on the microcomputer.
4.3 Component function
The detection component is responsible for measuring color parameters (Rd, b), and the microcomputer and detection software are responsible for color analysis and data management.
