1 Scope
This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, packaging, marking, and storage and transportation requirements for lemongrass.
This standard applies to the quality assessment and trade of lemongrass.

3 Product description
Lemongrass is a cluster of leaves of a perennial herb (Cymbopogun flexuosus Stapf.) (see Figure 1), with a leaf length of 1 meter and a width of 1.5
Centimeters, no petiole, leaf sheath without fluff (with fluff at the junction), pure green, the leaves are linear, acuminate, with hoarfrost.

4 requirements
4.1 smell and taste
Lemongrass emits a pleasant, strong, and fresh smell when rubbed, without any peculiar smell or mold.
4.2 No insects and mildew
No live insects, mildew, dead insects, corpse fragments and rodent residues visible to the naked eye are allowed, and a magnifying glass can be used when necessary
Observe that when the magnification is greater than 10 times, it should be explained in the inspection report.
4.3 Foreign objects
Foreign matter shall be determined according to ISO 927 and shall not contain any foreign matter.
4.4 Chemical indicators
The chemical indicators of lemongrass should meet the requirements in Table 1.
5 sampling
Sampling is carried out in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 12729.2.
The powder samples for analysis shall be prepared according to the provisions of GB/T 12729.3, and all the samples shall pass through a 500 μm sieve.
6 Inspection method
Measure according to the method specified in 4 and Table 1 to determine whether the sample meets the requirements of this standard.
7 Packaging, marking, storage and transportation
7.1 Packaging
Lemongrass should be packed in clean and intact packaging; packaging materials must not affect the quality of lemongrass.
7.2 Sign
According to the provisions of GB 7718.
7.3 Storage
Lemongrass should be stored in a ventilated, dry warehouse, and can prevent insects and rodents. Stacks should be neat and there should be proper passages between stacks to facilitate ventilation.
Do not mix with toxic, harmful, or odorous materials.
7.4 Transportation
During transportation, lemongrass should be protected from sunlight and rain. Do not mix with toxic, harmful, or odorous items. Don’t use
