This standard was drafted in accordance with GB/T 1.1-2009 given rules.
This standard replaces GB/T 8738-2006 "cast zinc alloy ingots." This standard compared with GB/T 8738-2006, major changes
as follows.
--- Remove the "directory";
--- Modified ZnAl4Cu0.4 grade ingredients;
--- Increased billets physical specifications;
--- Increase grades ZnAl17Cu4;
--- Increasing the arbitration analysis method with zinc alloy ingot casting nickel;
--- Added Appendix A.
The standard reference used EN1774.1997 "zinc and zinc alloy zinc alloy ingot casting and casting liquid" in grades 7 and of
Chemical composition.
This standard EN1774.1997 compared to the main changes are as follows.
--- The ZnAl4, ZnAl4Cu1, Al content ZnAl4Cu3 three grades by between 3.8% and 4.2% revised to 3.9% ~ 4.3%;
Mg levels ranging from 0.035% to 0.06% revised to 0.03% ~ 0.06%; Cu content ZnAl4Cu3 grades of from 2.6%
3.1% revised to 2.7% ~ 3.3%; canceled the three grades of Si requirements;
--- The corresponding foundry industry in China GB/T 1175-1997 "cast zinc alloy" in grades, this standard also uses the standard
ZnAl9Cu2Mg, ZnAl11Cu5Mg two grades (to improve the chemical composition of some impurities content requirements).
