Foreword
This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1:1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents"
Drafting:
This document replaces GB/T 783-2013 "Maximum lifting capacity series of basic lifting machinery" and GB/T 790-1995 "Electric axle
Crane span and lifting height series": This document is based on GB/T 783-2013 and integrates the content of GB/T 790-1995:
Compared with GB/T 783-2013 and GB/T 790-1995, in addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows:
a) Changed the scope (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of GB/T 783-2013);
b) Added the terms and definitions of “rated lifting capacity”, “track gauge”, “amplitude”, “descent depth” and “lifting range” (see Chapter 3);
c) The term and definition of “basic type” is deleted (see 2:2 of GB/T 783-2013);
d) The term and definition of “span of factory building” is deleted (see 3:2 of GB/T 790-1995);
e) The values listed in the maximum lifting capacity series have been changed (see Table 1, Table 1 of GB/T 783-2013);
f) Added the list of span, gauge series and their values, and deleted the factory span and electric motor in Chapter 4 of GB/T 790-1995
The relationship between bridge crane spans is later included (see Chapter 5);
g) Added the amplitude series and its numerical list (see Chapter 6);
h) The lifting height, descending depth and lifting range series and their ranges and value lists are added, and Section 1 of GB/T 790-1995 is added:
Chapter 5 is included after deleting the provisions on the lifting height of electric overhead cranes (see Chapter 7);
i) Added the list of speed series and its values (see Chapter 8):

3 Terms and definitions
The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 6974 (all parts) and the following apply to this document:
3:1
Rated lifting capacityratedcapacity
Under normal operating conditions, for a given type of lifting machinery and load position, the maximum net lifting weight that the lifting machinery is designed to lift:
For mobile cranes, it is the lifting capacity of the flexible parts:

3:2
Maximum lifting capacitymaximumcapacity
For a given type of lifting machinery and specified working level conditions, the maximum rated lifting weight that the lifting machinery can lift:
3:3
span span
The horizontal distance between the center lines of the crane's operating track:
