This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This standard replaces GB/T 6408-2003 "Superhard abrasive cubic boron nitride", compared with GB/T 6408-2003 main technical changes
as follows.
--- Revised the scope of application (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of the.2003 edition);
--- Increased the CBN500, CBN600 two varieties code and the corresponding technical requirements, the variety code increased from the original 4
6 (see Chapters 4 and 5, Chapters 4 and 5 of the.2003 edition);
--- Revised the technical requirements and test methods for impact toughness (see 5.2 and 6.2,.2003 editions 5.2 and 6.2);

1 Scope
This standard specifies the product code, technical requirements, test methods, acceptance rules, signs and packaging of cubic boron nitride.
This standard applies to single crystal cubic boron nitride synthesized by static pressure method with particle size of 50/60~325/400.
