Drafting.
This document replaces GB/T 5709-1997 "Terminology of Textile Nonwovens". Compared with GB/T 5709-1997, except for the structural adjustment
In addition to the integration and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.
a) The definition of nonwovens has been changed (see 3.1, 2.3.1 of the.1997 edition);
b) Added the terms "design and manufacture", "fiber assembly", "structural integrity" and "physical and/or chemical methods" (see 3.2 to 3.5);
c) Added auxiliary terms to distinguish nonwovens from other materials (see Chapter 4);
d) The terms “electrostatic web”, “electrostatic fiber web”, “cross web”, “flash spun web” and “flash spun fiber web” were changed to “electrostatic spinning web” respectively.
net", "electrospinning web", "cross-laid web", "flash steamed web", "flash steamed web" (see 5.10, 5.11, 5.14, 5.25, 5.26,.1997
Version 2.1.8, 2.1.9, 2.1.15, 2.1.23, 2.1.24);
e) Added the terms "semi-straight-laid semi-crossed web" and "oriented web" (see 5.16, 5.17);
f) Added the term "sewing reinforcement" (see 6.12);
g) 22 terms for nonwoven products have been added (see Chapter 7);
h) Added the term "composite material" (see 8.4);
i) Deleted 11 terms such as “fluff pulp”, “base material”, “base fabric” and related properties (see 2.4 of the.1997 edition).
This document is modified to adopt ISO 9092.2019 "Nonwovens terminology" and ISO 11224.2003 "Textile nonwovens - webs and
"Terms for bonding".
This document has the following structural adjustments compared to ISO 9092.2019.

c) Chapter 4 of ISO 11224.2003 corresponds to Chapter 8 of this document and replaces “composite nonwovens”, “combined nonwovens”, “laminated nonwovens” with “laminated nonwovens”.
"Nonwovens" and "Coated nonwovens" are adjusted to Chapter 7 of this document.
The technical differences between this document and ISO 11224.2003 and their reasons are as follows.
